Cookie Policy

What cookies do

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. They can support website features, remember a choice, or help a third party recognise a visit.

Cookies used by GURLY

Sign-in and administration: WordPress uses authentication, login-test, language, and administration-preference cookies when someone uses the login or administration features. Ordinary readers do not need an account to read GURLY.

Comment preferences: where comments are available, the comment form offers a separate option to remember your name, email address, and website. If you choose it, WordPress stores comment-author cookies for approximately one year. You can leave this option unchecked and still submit a comment.

Analytics and advertising

GURLY uses a local counter for HOTTEST TREND, which selects the most-read article over the last seven days. This counter does not set cookies or use browser storage. It stores only the article ID and the UTC time of a counted view; it does not store IP addresses or visitor identifiers. Our Privacy Policy explains counting and retention. We have not configured an external analytics platform or advertising pixel. If additional optional tracking is introduced, this notice and the relevant consent controls will need to be updated before it is used where consent is required.

Links to retailers and other websites

A retailer or affiliate network may set cookies after you follow an external link. Its own cookie and privacy notices apply on that website. Read our Affiliate Disclosure for information about commercial links.

Your choices

You can review, block, or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop login or preference features from working. The comment form’s remember-me choice is optional.
